What does it mean to Meet It All?
Though we all have unique lives and stories, it's safe to say that today's world yanks us in conflicting directions, leaving gaps we feel anxious to fill. We're on a quest to find and sustain happiness, a sense of peace, good health, and connection with loved ones, and when life gets in the way it seems there is always something knocking us off the right foot.
My mission is to bring us back home.
What clients are saying..
"Carly brings laughter, light and incredible insight to our work together and it always makes me feel so - much - better, both physically and mentally. I especially appreciate how she brings her lifelong dance training and vast, and nuanced understanding of the intricate workings of the body to bear in her instruction. I also love how she has inspired my wife to participate as well. Carly is a breath of fresh air and a ray of sunshine on a foggy, smoggy day in Brooklyn. I could not recommend someone more highly, nor time or money better spent if you're interested in feeling better/lighter/freer in your body, mind, and spirit. And she's so present, perceptive, genuinely caring, thoughtful and kind."
-Melissa C, Brooklyn
"Studying with Carly is a grounding and insightful experience. Her knowledge of body and thorough understanding of movement has immensely improved my practice. She is attentive and caring, which makes me feel safe and willing to play with new things. Carly is also a calming meditation teacher, whose teachings and guided meditations are helpful to damper my internal noise and bring about focus and mental ease. "
-Allison J, Brooklyn
Carly's practice focuses on cultivating awareness and respect for where we are in every moment. Having experimented with yoga to support her dance practice, she became fascinated with its philosophy and began to experience more ease and spaciousness in her life. Her classes emphasize self-study and detailed alignment, helping students find the balance between effort and ease in each moment. A 500-hour ISHTA certified yoga teacher, Carly's intention is to assist each individual in experiencing themselves, their practice, and each moment more fully. She also teaches Contact Improvisation, an incredibly joyful and accessible dance form, and is passionate about making the world a more tolerable, loving place.
